Ballet, contemporary and tap classes for children and adults of all ages in Creaton, Northamptonshire, taught by Royal Academy of Dance registered teachers.

Small classes for a nurturing environment and more personal tuition, with opportunities for exams and performances.

We are proud to offer all three RAD syllabi at all levels. Lotti Dando, Ruby Kinsella and Eva Smith have completed all their exams at all levels. The girls were featured in Focus on Exams for this achievement.

Preschool, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2

Classes for young children (ages 2½ – 6)

Preschool Ballet

We offer weekly in-house ballet lessons for students at several local preschools. Children will learn to be expressive and creative, develop self confidence, encourage others, and listen to and follow instructions.

Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet

From 2 ½ years. Classes develop children’s musicality, creativity and coordination, establishing technical, musical and performance skills. Option to take exams from the age of 5

From 2 ½ years. Children will learn basic rhythms and steps in this fun and lively class.

Years 3-6

RAD Grades 1-3

Children are grouped by age and ability and follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which includes classical ballet, free movement and character dance. 

Contemporary

Contemporary Dance stems from the core, or torso, of the body and uses elements of contract, release, spiral, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation.

Tap

Contemporary Dance stems from the core, or torso, of the body and uses elements of contract, release, spiral, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation.

Children at this age are grouped by age and ability. Those who come multiple times a week will progress faster, as will those with previous dance experience. Years 7-13

RAD Grades 4-8

For older students with a passion for dance, classes incorporate a warm-up, syllabus work and free enchainments. A strong focus is placed on musicality, performance and the joy of dance.  

RAD Discovering Repertoire

Students will learn variations from classical ballets including Giselle, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, connecting choreography they are being taught with what they have seen on stage.

RAD Vocational

For conscientious dancers with secure technique, a good knowledge of vocabulary. and a passion for dance, these are demanding classes suitable for older students with longer enchainments and pointe work.

Pre-Pointe & Pointe

For all students at a vocational level wishing to increase their foot strength and develop stronger technique for pointe work.

PBT & Conditioning

PBT is a series of carefully devised exercises using large and small exercise balls and therabands that works on specific muscle groups, technique and artistry needed for ballet.

Adults

Adult Ballet

Suitable for dancers of all ages and abilities, this a fun and lively session with a focus on the joy of dance. Every class starts with a warm up, stretching and barre work before moving into the centre.

RAD Syllabus Classes


Suitable for dancers with previous experience, adults may attend any of the classes available to teenagers. Students will develop stronger technique. Opportunities to take exams available.

RAD Silver Swans

These classes have been specifically designed for the over 55s, based on research into dance practice for older learners. Suitable for beginners, returners and those with injuries. Taught by Silver Swans licensees.

Adult Tap

We offer tap as a mixed ability daytime class. Fun and lively, these classes are a great way to exercise both mind and body.
